ways to make a gift.
There is no better place for your investment in children's health than the University of Minnesota. Doctors here performed the world's first pediatric bone marrow transplant, open-heart surgery, and kidney biopsy. They pioneered pediatric nephrology, dialysis, and kidney transplantation—we have one of the three largest pediatric kidney transplant programs in the world and have performed more infant transplants than any other program in the United States. University research in childhood cancers has helped increase survival rates for children from 10 percent in 1959 to more than 85 percent today. And children with cystic fibrosis are living longer, healthier lives because of a lung-clearing vest developed at the University.

Researchers are now forging ahead with long-term studies on outcomes for kids with cancer, as well as new therapies for children with high-risk malignancies or recurring cancer. Scientists continue to work toward better treatments for childhood diseases, with new studies on brain development, juvenile diabetes, and stem cell transplants for treating leukemia.
Join our team today by making a gift to the University Pediatrics Foundation, and help us create a healthier world for children.
